02.24.18 - Getting Ready
Created Basic Website to begin tracking progress through our first Wildcards Campaign after 25 years.
02.24.18 - Inaugural Mail out to the usual suspects
Setting: Current Day Chicago
Your character
I love a good story, and you are allowed to be as creative as you like in your backstory as you like. Each character will start with 250 points to distribute. You are also limited to a maximum 100 points of disadvantages. Even though the setting is Chicago, your character can be from anywhere. You just have to get them to Chicago.
Game Setup: Ideally we can have one session where everyone is able to create their characters together...it'll be a fun time to just hang out for the most part. Once your character is 'finished' It is my intention that we can do a little introduction story and adventure for the purposes of getting everyone to a common starting point. No you will not receive any character points. Character points will be distributed at the end of each 'Chapter'. ie... At a time I determine that a particular story arc has progressed or closed.
Character Deaths Are permanent*. You may want to think about a backup character, just in case. The asterisk is there because someone may find an Ace or Joker way around this.
If somehow you manage to create an ace or joker that is seemingly an overpowered character, I reserve the right to modulate or handicap it in a creative, hilarious, humorous, or otherwise pain-in-the-ass way. It should be hard to do in 150 points, but I do not doubt your ability to get creative. Do not doubt my ability to get creative as well. :)
Think of this story as following along in the style of a Wildcards Book. Our Book is called Euchre's March.
At some time in the introductory story for each of your character's you will become acquainted with Euchre. A Joker/Ace who runs a minor crime ring on the south side of Chicago. His headquarters is called the "Gene Saw" which is located at the now abandoned water purification plant near Rainbow Beach on South Farragut Drive. Euchre has two key Joker Lieutenants which he calls his Bowers. They are called Hamfist and ThinkTank. Harold "Hamfist" Washington is the bower in charge of all muscle related activity, while Charles "ThinkTank" Tinkers thinks more about logistics and the setup of the business end of Euchre's small but growing empire.
At this point that is all I am willing to share about the campaign.
